I totally thought this book would be lame, especially since the teacher in “A Christmas Story” the movie, tells the class all about him and they give the most annoyed sighs ever. Glad I chanced it. I am enjoying the language, of course, from the 1800’s. Was I born in the wrong century? I don’t think so, but the writers of that time had it going on and knew a lot of great words, had great ideas about morality, and also meaning in life. I will write more as I finish it.
